Senior Unix System & Network Administrator

Working within a digital news organization, we are looking a senior Unix system & network administrator, some who will responsible for all the infrastructure of a fully loaded web site. A Senior UNIX administrator who can design, implement and maintain a solid, reliable UNIX infrastructure.

Skills / Profile:

• A Senior UNIX administrator who can design, implement and maintain a solid, reliable UNIX infrastructure.
• Minimum 5 years experience in MySQL database administration in clustered, fail-over environment
• Minimum 5 years experience in managing load balanced pool of apache servers
• Experience in managing systems hardware and its operating systems (Linux RHEL, Open & Free BSD)
• Experience in managing virtualized environment
• Experience in managing and setting up high load networks
• Hands on experience in various hardware technologies (Blade, SAN, Tape Library, RAID)
• Experience in managing, securing and optimizing web delivery technologies (Apache, NginX, Cache Proxy, Load Balancer).
• Solid TCP/IP networking skills and experience in managing DNS server, Router (Cisco), Switch (Cisco) and Firewall
• Ability to work with vendors
• Proficient with DNS, NFS
• Proficient with UNIX security and firewall design
• Proficient with Perl, bash (or other UNIX shells)
• Proficient in system monitoring
• Highly self-motivated, as well as capable of inspiring other team members to perform
• The ability to work in a multi-tasking environment
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience
• Outstanding time management skills

Responsibility:

• Setup the entire infrastructure
• Setup all configuration and images
• Work with various vendors
• Setup start of the art monitoring
• Maintain high availability system
